dominicambrose.com I have been writing for decades. My first novel, written at the age of ten, was about 3 pages long and set in some anachronistic, impossible world: maybe an antebelllum southern plantation in England during the Roman Empire. Since then I have tried to coordinate my own inner vision more closely with some form of objective reality and to really try to communicate something unique.
The diaries and journals of my teen years gave way to fiction during my late twenties, but that autobiographical aesthetic has remained. Much of my fiction reads as a personal journey. The situations and the events may not be exact reflections of my own physical experiences, but they do reflect these in a symbolic, emotional way. All writing is autobiography, at least on the allegorical level.
